Re: searching for the name of a fish

If you want to check whether the fish species is listed on this website, go to: http://www.fishlore.com/TropicalFishProfiles.htm. Otherwise, you can just search the web for "Glass Catfish" and a lot of information should come up. From what I have read about this fish, it is a schooling species, which means these fish do best when kept in groups of around 6 at least. I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller than 30 gallons. They should also be provided with a lot of hiding spots as they may be shy. Don't put them with any aggressive species in one tank, they're very peaceful and likewise need peaceful tankmates. They also need a good diet and good water quality, meaning varied food (containing not only a variety of flakes but also brine shrimp and bloodworms), and meaning regular water changes to keep the water free of, or very low in, nitrates.

Re: searching for the name of a fish

As Isabella said, they like to be in groups. I wouldn't have less than 3, but more is better.

They are fairly fragile in comparison to alot of the other common fish and care should be taken. Just watch them for any odd behaviour, discoloration especially, and you and your fish can be happy. They are pretty shy, and will probably hide if allowed to, but if you have enough and have hiding spots for them (sword plants work well) they will be a pleasant addition to your aquarium.
