Anyone heard of the "Practical Fishkeeping magazine". I saw it yesterday in a shop, and wondered if was any good. It had some good info in there from what I read. Has anyone ever bought it? Is it any good? If it is I might start getting it.

It depends on who you talk to. Some hobbyists say their articles have bad information. I had a yearly subscription and liked it. I especially like the ads in the back. It keeps me up to date on new products and new companies.

I think I might buy it when I go to the shop next. It looked quite good, and if I don't like it, I don't have to buy it again. How often does it come out?

I think it comes out once a month. A yearly subscription is around $15.00.

Any idea how much that is in £ ? I live in UK. I think $1 is more than £1. Is it? The one in the shop was £3.75, just for that copy. Do you think that is good or bad?

Erm $15 is fairly cheap actually approx £8 or £9 the rate is really good atm!

I might chk the mag out too i have been thinking of doing something like that, let me know your thoughts if you buy it!

You could check out their website also. Some of the articles from their magazine is on there. A free way to check out some of the articles

Thanks, just read the article on guppies. Very interesting. I think I'll enjoy the magazine. My lfs (Pets at Home) makes a magazine and comes out 4 times a year. I subscribed to that, thinking maybe it would be more about dogs etc. but nearly half of the last issue was about fish and was very interesting. I'm glad I registered.
