I bought a used 55g tank and wood stand from someone on Craigslist last weekend for $175. Said it came with some equipment but wasn't sure what, other than light, air pump and heater. Just said miscellaneous other stuff.

Turns out that basically all I need to get is substrate!! Has a Whisper HOB filter, several brand new filter media kits, two air pumps, several large air stones, heater, light fixture, several scrapers, water conditioner (I'll just keep using my Prime though), some test strips, various chemicals (probably will never use), background - everything else that I need!

Just gotta hit the LFS today to get some substrate (I'm hoping to get some Tahitian Moon Sand), maybe a few more decorations since the ones from the 38 won't be enough, some Biospira, and I'm good to go! Very soon, everyone in the 38 will get their new home, then most of the ones from the 29 will go into the 38, and Hummy the GSP will have the 29 to himself!!

Cool Lucky I can't even get another 10 gallon let alone a 2.5 or 5 gallon, my parents so NO. So how many tanks do you have in all?

11 at home, 1 at work. Yeah, I have MTS something fierce. I also have another 55g that's waiting to be occupied that I bought for $100 (tank, wood stand and canopy). But that's going to take a lot longer as it needs all of the other supplies and I am now really short on funds. So over the course of the next six months, I'll slowly be gathering the supplies for it. But someone on Freecycle has offered some supplies, just not sure what he's got yet so not sure if its anything I can use.

Not sure what I'm going to put in it yet. I'm leaning towards either a couple puffers or maybe a school of angels.

Ya i'd get a lot more tanks but my mom won't let me and since I have to pay for my hobbies i wouldn't be able to get a whole ton but someday i wil. Do you have all peaceful fish or do you have some of the aggresive ones too?

I'm pretty much done collecting tanks for now. I've run out of room in my house. I have peaceful and semi-aggressive fish, and some aggressive ones such as puffers. Here's a quick rundown:

Bettas, African dwarf frog, dwarf puffers, green spotted puffer, modestus (golden) puffers, otos, cherry barbs, SAEs, bristlenose plecos, pitbull plecos, dwarf gouramis, German Blue rams, white cloud mountain minnows, guppies, black lyretail mollies, zebra danios, stonelappers, tiger barbs (green, blushing and albino), corydoras, kuhli loaches, electric blue jack dempseys, red tailed black shark, baby whale, rosy barbs, Amano shrimp, cherry shrimp, bamboo/wood shrimp, ghost shrimp, mystery snails, ramshorn snails and nerite snails.

That's all I cam remember off the top of my head.
