Anybody know of a cheap 5 gallon tank at Wal-mart possibly? They sell the mini-bowl for 35$ but I don't really want that filter but it may be my only choice.

you could get a reguler tank and a hood for about $30

Walmart here has the Marineland Eclipse Hex 5 with a Bio-wheel filter and compact fluorescent light for $29.95 (correction one of mine had the Compact fluorescent bulb in it and the other set still had the old style incandescent bulb)* It is an excellent tank and the folks at Marineland really stand behind there stuff.* I thought I had a problem with a light and they sent me one and got the wrong one.* Then they sent another one (the right one ) and a couple weeks later I had another one arrive.* I called them and they said they did not want me to send it back so now I have extra lighting hoods for the 5 gallon and the 3 gallon hospital tank.* (They didn't have me send the wrong one back either - they said I could donate it to a local pet store, but we don't have any and Walmart doesn't sell parts so I kept them.) Just be sure to register the equipment on the website when you get it so it will be warrantied if you do get it.

Really, I like hex tanks too, I'll have to see if mine sells that, though knowing my wal-mart you never know what they have. Thanks a lot

I had to look WAY UP ON TOP. They don't keep them down with the rest of the tanks. I guess they want you to think all they have is the expensive kind.
