We have no gas at our gas stations locally?

I had to go to walgreens today to pick up some medicine and of coarse I got the I want something cold to drink call from the husband (he finished the deck on the back of the house) well I stopped at a gas station on the way home and I noticed all the gas stations for a good 30 mile radius of my home is out of gas....
They don't plan to get any for the next day or so either! Unless the gas trucks that come in have a "decent price" according to one station... whoa! don't they care about emergency vehicles, I know we don't need to drive up and down the road constantly... thats understandable.. but there are police, fire and ems workers that do need to.. not to mention people like me who work at the hospital that it is very important that life goes on for to take care of the public.

I filled up my jeep last week, and I have a half of a tank.. I guess I will be just going to and from work only for the next week.

If your town is anything like most towns in MN then the emergency vehicles have their own supply provided by the city and kept under lock and key.

They don't, my husband is a paramedic here and they have a special card they use at the gas stations to fill up. Its like that in both counties he works for.

that's really bad planning, obviously.

I use a tank per week. But I could easily go a month if I stopped going to school and just went to work. Toyota Corollas rock, 35mpg city
