Whats causing the algae? I've never been a big fan of using fish to clean up the mess, its almost like a curtain for the problem and they just add to the nutrient level in the tank. Attack the source!

Otos are apparently difficult to get at certain times of the year, due to the way they're harvested from the wild.

I should have asked when they're expecting their next shipment.

I have 2 other places I can try, but they're closer to an hr away, the others were about 40 minutes from here.

You can but liveaquaria's shipping chrage is expensive. I got LR from them.

The LR was 120 but with shipping it turned out to be 162!!

My husband's not a big fan of me ordering things on line. I'm going to make a couple more calls tomorrow.

I called 3 more LPS's (not really local, but nothing is lol) they're also out of ottos.

But.......I called a lfs (again, not really local).
The girl said she was supposed to get them yesterday, but she messed up on the order. She'll have them in on Wed.

She had 1 and offered to hold it for me, but I want to get them at the same time.

Sigh, I guess I can wait another week.

Good luck with the ottos Lucy! I guess they would be my favorite fish... If I got to see them often Lol.... at the moment I have no idea where my gang of four is hiding, little naughty kids!

I have noticed they are done with algae quite soon... since they eat pretty much 24/7... you can get them some cucumber slices as well as the hikari algae wafers to see if they like them... I promise, if the ottos dont like the wafers your other fishies will lol!
