Hey,

I was wondering if there were any well regarded, or national retailers in the UK that you'd reccomend? I only have a couple of run-down 2nd notch pet shops near me, which don't have anything more exotic than neon tetras (Mixed with goldfish I might add...) and a Pets at Home, which has a respectable, but unexciting range and people who can never answer my questions. The most exciting thing I ever saw in there was a Black Knife Ghostfish, but it died right infront of me whilst I was talking to the attendant about it's needs!

Anyway, it all boils down to me thinking about what fish I want in my new 55 gallon once it cycles. I'm really liking the look of Khuli Loaches, but I can't find anything near where I live (Wirral, North-west) and when I mention it to anyone in a shop they insist I'm talking about Clown Loaches, which apparently I don't need to get a bigger tank for, as 4-5 of them will happily live in my current 15 gallon tank! (Additional training for Pets at Home staff, anyone?)

most garden centres have well in fact all the garden centres ive been to have an aquarium shop attached to them. You can buy online but you wont be able to see the quality of the fish until they turn up.
