Yeah, that's a pretty good compatibility chart. I had used it extensively when I was trying to get my stocking plan together.

I found it to be not very informative unless it's been updated since the past few yrs.
The betta chart is iffy

I noticed that and should have mentioned it in my first post. That's why I added what works for some may not work with others.

I should also add, it's a good idea to check several sources before deciding on tank mates for any fish.

I think that there is never going to be a compatibility list that everyone agrees, and I probably wouldn't keep a betta with a bala shark, but I have never tried that personally so I wouldn't tell someone not to do it.

I agree that it seems like a stretch on some of the things it says, but I think overall it is another source for people to consider and I find it to be fairly informative.

And ultimately, even if we try a combo and it doesn't work for us doesn't mean it won't work for others. That's the crazy side of fishkeeping, I suppose.
