It is not wether I like crayfish or not. It is that you really shouldnt be putting anything in an uncycled tank. Wonder why he looked like dead in the other tank? most likely because he was suffering from ammonia poisoning.

He wasn't truly dead if he is alive now Alessa is trying her best to help you help your Crayfish to survive please don't be rude.
Please in the future cycle your tank before adding animals, this will help them survive and be more comfortable.
If you choose to keep the crayfish you will need to test your water and dofrequent water changes. Let us know how they are doing.

Like butterfly said I was just trying to help, and I am not telling you not to keep him. Exactly because the nitrogen cycle takes time is that no living thing should be exposed to it, whatever it might be.

This is a forum to receive and give advice, if you do not want to hear the truth then do us a favor and do not be rude to the people that is trying to help as it is very disrespectful.

It was just a question hobbz, and I made it because of this:

This it what I was talking about, and then when you started this thread at the beginning you never mentioned getting a tank only for the crayfish, so I assumed they were still in your community tank.

and no, I do not endorse or recomment eating companion animals just because we do not know the proper care for them.

People on this site respect all life animals and people. So if you treat your fish like they are toys expect people to react in defense of the animal.
All forms of life deserve respect.

I can't believe you asked if you should boil the poor thing.
If you got them at a store return them to the store.
If you took them from the wild, return them to the wild.

Do not put store bought wildlife into the wild

If you plan on keeping them try to find out how to take care of them.
Here, I found this for you, I'm sure you can find other sites as well.

Okay, I think I see what part of the problem in this conversation is. Hobzz, your posts are very difficult to read.
The text-speak is really difficult to sort through, and could very easily be causing a lot of mis-communication. We don't charge per letter, and you've got plenty of space to work with.

It's not grammar and spelling that's getting us, Hobzz.
It's the text-speak: things like using "u" instead of "you," "r" instead of "are," that kind of thing.
Just do your best to type normal English (maybe lay off the smileys a bit, as they break your posts up a lot and make them choppy and difficult to read), and we'll be okay.

SDS's got it, English isn't everyone's first language here on the forum......the link I gave indicates that everyone understands that.
It's the text speak and caps that make some posts hard to understand.
I meant no offence to anyone, I'm actually quite impressed at how well everyone does whose English is a second language.

Hello Hobzz
I dont know any websites with forums that are in Spanish. If I had to go to one of those, I wouldnt even be able to speak in 'text' never mind using proper grammer!
I congratulate you on your ability to communicate as well as you are in a second language other than your own. I understand that sometimes the text may be easier for you to write in, when you do not know how to spell some words.
I know that i have been able to follow your grammer when you have spelled it out, and its good practice for you right? Please dont feel slighted or offended by anything that was said here that you feel you have to go to another forum.
Since no one here really enjoys reading text whether that person who is using text to post is using it as a second or first language it doesnt really matter. Its difficult to read no matter what language... and that is the point I believe Im trying to make.
