Vacation oh no!!!

Jacqueline and I are going to vegas for a few days and this is the first time we have ever left the fishies for my nephew to feed. When I showed him how to feed the other night he was very overwhelmed and I don't really know if he got it. Of course we had had a few drinks so that didn't help but I'm still a little nervious. I also told him if anything happened while we're gone he'd have to pay for it I was kidding of course but its weird that I'm so worried. Jacq took pic's of all the food and printed out directions for each tank along with the pic's so hopefully that will work. My nephew (22)has always stayed at our house while we're gone to take care of the cats and spikey but this seems a little over his head. Jacq has to stay for 4 days but I will probably fly back early out of guilt.................It had to happen sooner or later.

Rick, I went camping for a few days this spring and left my husband is charge of feedings.

I went to a fast food place and picked up a bunch of those little white paper cups they have for ketchup and measured out each individual feeding and put them next to each tank. That was all he had to do was dump a cup in.

Some else had a suggestion about using the plastic daily pill container.

Hope that helps relieve some stress, have a wonderful time you two.

Don't feed the fish. Just do a waterchange before you leave. You won't be gone for too long.

They could go that long without eating if need be, but pre-measured food is a great idea.

When we went on an extended vacation I pre - measured everything and put each tanks food in zip lock snack bags and taped them to the appropriate tank and only fed every other day. then all my son had to do was come dump it in the tank

oh, that's a very good idea!!!

with 10 tanks in the house, pill boxes seemed a bit hard to do, and some of the bigger tanks, i think a pill box might be a bit small.

i don't think i'll have time to set that up this time as we leave in the morning. hopefully he'll be able to follow the instructions i made.

the bettas are easy, you just count out pellets or worms. its the flake food i'm a bit worried about.

oh well lets hope for the best!!
