| Not odd at all.
White clouds are an invasive minnow in many systems, and could create huge problems.
Livebearers have many wild places they can live in Cali, and, as they breed like rabbits, could create similar problems.
If a creature like the white cloud or guppy were take up residence in a trout stream, for example, they would crowd the trout fry out for food, and in a few generations, there would be noticeably fewer trout. This is why, in MN, it's illegal to use minnows on trout streams, even if you're not fishing for trout. |

| Introducing foreign fish to a lake or whatever can throw the whole eco system totally off. We could end up have illness we haven't had before they the fish could introduce to local waters. It's just not a good idea to set fish free fro other countries etc... |

It's just not a good idea to set fish free fro other countries etc... | Good point Allie...can I just add that in addition to fish it is not a good idea to release anything from your tank into the wild...including snails and invertibrates..and plants...many of these are also invasive pests. |
