Has anyone here gotten phone calls from a telemarketing company whose caller ID info comes up as 877 944 8544? The only reason I'm wondering is that I've been doing some research, and it seems that this company entirely ignores things like the "do not call" list and even verbal requests to not call. I've had dozens of calls from them in the past week, and tonight, their phone call sent my wife into a bawling breakdown (okay, a broken plate did that, but if they hadn't called, the plate wouldn't have broken. Just trust me on that)

This company apparently sells subscriptions to whatever paper you consider local. I have not only reported them to my local paper (suggesting that they might want to take action against this company if they didn't want to lose their customers), and to the FCC.
Just wondering how wide-spread this is.

I haven't gotten any calls from them on my cell phone, but I will check my call log at work tomorrow. We get tons of telemarketers calling us there. That is awful that they are ignoring requests not to call them. Hopefully, someone can put a stop to it. I hope that you wife feels better, poor thing

I don't have caller ID. Not to take away from the seriousness of your concerns, sir, but I tend to play with telemarketers.

I just couldn't believe, when I looked this number up, that so many people have reported the same thing, and starting from this past March. How could a company keep this up for so long without getting nailed for it?

There is a company from canada doing "research" that calls my number, I gave them a few choice words the last time they called (they do it about 3 times a day) The next time its air horn city.

I told them first thing we are on the do not call list.

Ohhh the air horn.. I never thought of that, but that is DEFINATELY a good idea; Especially a good idea if when you say "not interested", they continue to try to sell the product.. I know they are trained to do that, but that doesn't make it less annoying.
