Well I went and picked my pup up, shes a jack russell mix, I am so pleased w/ her, shes already working on housebreaking w/ no issues, and had her first bath. Now shes doing what I wanted a doggie for, sleeping right next to me on the couch.

She was very curious about the fish tanks, I think she will be one of those dogs who love to watch the fish. (of coarse my new fish tank got some gifts I bought them a load of lava rock to give the cichlids in it more hiding spots)

Now if I can get over this pnemonia, I will be having the perfect start to the week!

You are going to LOVE her! Jack Russels are great dogs.....A little hyper but fun and smart! Post pics when you can!

Good news. I'm glad she's doing so well.
Another bonus is that pets often have a positive effect on healing (as long as you don't have an allergy to said pet )

Congrats on the new dog! I can't wait to see pictures of the little girl! Do you know what she's mixed with? Anyway, IMO mixed breeds are the best! My mutts are in the 50-90 lb. range though, so a little bigger

Your fish don't sleep on the couch with you? How selfish of them.

LOL, if I could find away to cuddle w/ my fish I would... she has already got into the cat bowl and at her food, then my husband tricked her into eating her worm meds, it was her last dose, the people I got her from took her to the vet and got her treated, today was supose to be the last dose of that.
My kids are going crazy trying to win her over, while she is curled up in my lap sleeping, I def got what I was asking for w/ a little dog, she is a great companion.


The little thing has even tackled the 30lb cat... that surprised me! she kicked the cats butt

she is a jack russell, chiuaua mix (sp)... her dad was full jack, mom was 1/2 jack and 1/2 chi, so she def will be a tiny girl.

I have named her "Molly" and got her a pink rinestone color, pink leash and bed... .my husband said you finally got the girl/boy ratio won over (I guess he wasn't counting the male cichlids and there harems of at least 2 girls a peice) Us women def out number the guys in this house....

oh dogs are so great! congrats on the new addition to the family. isn't it funny to watch them watch the fish. My 8 month blue cattle dog jumps on me when i am watching the fish and he watches them with me! He is great fun. maybe if you are ever in Australia we can organise a play date for the dogs hehe. I'm sure Molly would beat up Riley. (hes a big sook and has been chased by a pack of chihuahuas before) who said cattle dogs are aggresive? lol
