Iridescent sharks in FL pond.

I read the other thread on keeping the iridescent sharks in a pond in North Carolina, but I didn't see anything on the temp. of the water. I have 3 of these sharks that are about 7-8 inches long now and I am considering putting them in my outdoor 6000 gallon pond. I live in central FL where it gets down to freezing or below a few nites, in the winter and I was wondering if they would be ok. The pond is 12'x24'x4'. They still have room in my 120 gallon tank, but they get spooked now and then and really do some damage to themselves. One of them has a deformed mouth now from running into the sides of the tank.

They prefer water that doesn't drop below 72 degrees. The Mekong (where they come from) pretty much never drops below 70-ish. If you can provide that during the winter (not as hard as it seems, since most ponds are really well insulated from every side except the surface), they'll be fine. If you introduce them to the pond, get them a floating heater for the winter and keep a close eye on the pond's temp.
