Omg, Is that my frog???

I'm sitting here reading posts, I see something out of the corner of my eye......omg, it's my frog hopping across the living room rug!!

I picked him up, plucked the cat hair and a few pieces of fuzz off him as I carry him back to his tank and put him in.
he promptly swam and hid behind his water dish.

There was a big opening in the back of the tank where the filter goes, I had covered all but the tiniest opening, just enough for a frog to slip through, I guess.
Now, it's fully covered.

I'm glad the cat didn't see him first.
He looks ok, I changed his water last night, but I just added some stress coat, just in case.

Now he's happily in his zen pose.

Whew, close one. I hope he doesn't show signs of distress in the next couple hours.

I decreased the amount of water, so it's not right up to lip of the tank, little escapt artist.

Lucy, that made me laugh also. It really is a good thing you found him before the cat did!!

I like those little guys, they must be escape artists. I am glad he is ok and back to Zen posing!!!

The thought of a frog hopping across the living room made me laugh... Yeah just about everything I've ever kept has gotten out multiple times (mice, rabbit, gerbils, firebelly toads--not to mention horses out at the ranch, though those aren't mine)...it's scary when you realize they're out but in retrospect its always so funny thinking about chasing random animals around the house.....

Funny thing is, he had to hop around the couch to get to where he was.

If he had hopped under the couch, this thread would have a different title.

My thoughts exactly!

I'm pretty sure some of those screened tanks have little clips on the lid, otherwise little animals would be running rampant. lol
