I'm getting fish to provide activity for all levels of the tank, and so far so good. All I need is a clean-up crew, but algae wise. I saw a few bristlenoses at my LFS and they were $24.00!!!!! Like that'll ever happen!!!

But at PetSmart, I found some interesting pleco-like catfish called rubber-lip plecos. Are these good algae eaters? How big do they get? If these aren't suitable, what are some other choices I have that will suffice?

Perhaps a crew of Otos? Do you have any local breeders or a fish club maybe that would give you a way to find BNs for less than that?

I'd check www.planetcatfish.com for the rubber-lip plecos, but I think they get to be pretty good sized.
