The Monster of Minnesota!

There's a monster in Minnesota and a $50,000 reward if you can catch it! Many in eastern Minnesota say there's a large, serpent-like creature living in the Mississippi River's Lake Pepin below Maiden Rock. Capitalizing on the publicity, the Lake City Tourism Bureau has helped set up a $50,000 reward for hooking, netting or capturing the creature on a camera. Locals have named the alleged creature "Pepie" and believers say the legend of Pepie comes in part from the native Dakota people that lived in the area. They refused to travel on Lake Pepin in canoes because of large creatures that would come to the surface and damage their boats. (St. Paul Pioneer Press)

OK..which one of you 'Loreans' overfed yer Dojo loach for years and set 'em free?!.. oh Carol?..LOL.

It wasn't me. I've been to the lake, though (I live about an hour away), and could see how such a legend could rise from that lake.

Now, off to get me $50,000. Quick! Quick! I'm gonna need about half a ton of papier mache, two gallons of paint, a bucket of worms, and a keg of gun powder.

Aw Carol, I know there's not a single overfed fish in any of your tanks.. I've seen the pix you've posted and all your little guys and gals look so healthy and happy.

Buzz and me actually saw an episode of 'Monster-Quest' on History Channel about huge Trout, Alligator-Gar and Catfish that that attacked/ate people and overturned boats!.. makes me almost want to put a little halo over each one of our little fellas.

There's a monster around here called the Goatman. I think it's just the effect of drugs.
