What does your tank sit on?

A stand of course, but what i was wondering is i have heard my different opinions about what to put in between the tank and the stand if anything at all. Currently all my tanks sit right on the stands that i bought for the tanks, but i am moving soon so i was wondering what you use in between since i will be draining and moving all of my tanks its the perfect opportunity. I have hear of people using foam, Styrofoam, towel... and from what i understand its to reduce pressure from the tank and make it last longer.

Thanks

Ryan

90g sits directly on the stand. 30g sits directly on the stand. 10g is on a piece of plywood on the stand. 35g is on a dresser (home-made, heavy-duty dresser made of 2x2's) with rubber no-slip stuff and a layer of waterproof contact paper between it and the dresser.

my 55g and 36g is directly on the stands, and my 5g's are on my comp desk (its a big corner desk), then my 10g is on my kitchen counter, and then my 20glong is on my other kitchen counter I have a ton of counter space in my kitchen and w/ a small (2yo) child I didn't want anything less than a 30g on a stand w/ fear of him tipping it over.

I have 1 10g on and old foot pump cabinet style sewing machine. 1 10g is on an end table and my 30g (although empty) has a stand.

My tanks sit on every piece of furniture pretty much. A towel covered by a white trash bag works well for ours.

my 55g sits on a 1" thick piece of green foam, the kind used for flower arrangements, then the stand of course. i'm paranoid about the weight distribution.
