I was forced to do some yard work this weekend.
I wore long sleeves and pants to make sure I didn't get poison anything.
I woke up the next day with an itchy arm.

I have poison ivy...

I was really great all day,
I never itched it!
I put on Benedryl and Calamine.

I hate poison ivy...

The next night I had a dream that I was covered in red ants.
I woke up itching my poison ivy!
I couldn't stop itching it all day.

I really hate poison ivy...

My mother said that I should sleep with a bandaid over the poison ivy.
That way I wouldn't itch it in my sleep.
I put on the bandaid and went to sleep.
I didn't itch it all night!

I don't hate the poison ivy anymore...

I woke up itchier than ever!
I took off the bandaid.
I was allergic to the bandaid!
I have a giant red itchy replica of the bandaid on my skin now!

I hate itchy bandaids...

Wow you are really having a sucky couple of days... I have never had poison ivy even though i have been through a couple of poison ivy patches, i guess i am one of those luck people that are not allergic to it. My step dad got poison ivy 3 days before his daughters wedding and it was in the middle of July. I felt so bad for him having to wear a stuffy suit with poison ivy all down his neck and arms. It will go away eventually hope you feel better.

Second of all, be glad you weren't standing around a campfire where poison ivy was being burned.
Third of all, pay attention to what you're grabbing.
Lastly, at least you didn't grab stinging nettle with your other hand.

Oh yes I learned that the hard way. I burned a big pile of trash and grass clippings then was so very,very sick. I had poison Ivy every where you could have poison Ivy including in my blood. My sons Dr. figured out why I was so sick then chewed me out for burning it. I found out it was dangerous to do so.

I don't have any poison ivy, but I found a little hitchhiker on my back. It was a tick!! (glad I finally got to use that smiley) I hate ticks! Even the most intense hikers hate ticks. Do Bear Grylls or Les Stroud hate ticks? Usually there is a reason why everything is created, but not for not for ticks(or horseflies, or mosquitos, leeches, etc.)

There's a reason for everything (yes, that includes ticks, horseflies, and leeches, especially leeches, as the majority of them are scavengers, cleaning the bottoms of lakes of dead animal matter). Still, I hate the little guys. Just seeing a tick creeps me out. I can stare at a spider all day, but ticks really bother me.

And stop scratching, young lady. It only makes it worse.
Trust me, I know. I've had poison ivy, stinging nettle, some form of thorny plant that has a mild toxin in the thorns (punctures become blisters in about an hour. As a Boy Scout, I ran through a patch of the stuff), massively horrible mosquito bites (we're talking thousands of bites), and leech bites (the worst. They don't stop bleeding). You'd think I'd learn to follow my own advice of paying attention to what I'm grabbing, but no. I'm just hoping that I don't have any nettle in my yard this year.

lol so I caved in. The poison ivy (or whatever it is) is now all the way from armpit to wrist!!


I'm going to the DOC's on Monday for some 'roids.

I go on them for my asthma sometimes... and they make me eat like a cow, well like a preggers. lol It's all about junk food or pickles or chocolate....

That ought to be fun...
