This is a great place to research different models. You can pick out a few models at the store (probably by price) and then compare them on that website. I would also suggest reading up in the glossary to get a better understanding of digital cameras.

Here's a little tip, high MP doesn't mean a better camera. especially for no-flash shooting, you actually want LOWER pixel count. The sensors are all the same size, but high pixel count cameras have smaller pixels (more pixels in the same area = smaller pixels) which collect less light. That gives grainy pictures, or will limit low light shooting (like no-flash). Lower pixel count cameras have larger pixels that collect more light. You'll get clearer pictures and have better results in low light.
I have a 6mp Nikon D50, and I make gorgeous 8x10 prints. I'm just trying to point out that megapixels aren't really an indicator of picture quality like the marketing would have you believe.
