We got a phone call from our Police department saying that my moms,Bede on this forum,purse was found and turned in to them today.

Our Van and my car were gone through. All they took was all our grocery money for two weeks and the money that my grandma gave my mom to pay for my Graduation Open House that is coming up here in a week.

The credit card and drivers licenses where not taken,nor were the keys to our house,the cellphone or the keys to the 3 cars.

If you could please send good Vibes this way. My mom is a bit distraught over the whole thing.

sooooo sorry for the loss of your money and maybe you can make something very special for your mom for mothers day to help her feel better..even tho the money will be hard to live without, and will put a dent in your plans, you all are safe and nothing was taken to invade anything at your home...goodluck andy & bede!

I am so sorry that happened. It really angers me when people think they have the right to take things from others.

I'm glad the credit cards weren't taken, but contact the companies anyway, they could have written the numbers down and gotten your address from her license.
You might also contact the dmv, not sure why, but just to alert them that someone could have her information.

Also, start checking her credit reports, advise the companies of what happened, I know there is some kind of watch they could put on the reports.

On one hand, thank goodness money was all that was taken. On the other, too bad they didn't take (and try to use) something traceable.

I hate to hear this Andy. Who ever did this only wanted quick cash.. I know how ya feel. we had our autos broken into about 5 years ago. luckly all they got was lose change.. cds and a pair of sunglasses as we really dont keep a lot of "good stuff" in our cars.. But I now keep even less in my car because we were broken into.

Oh Andy! That is horrible......Tell your Mom I know how she is feeling....A couple of years ago I had just bought a new Lincoln LS....I went to dinner and left my purse in the car (dumb mistake) and when I returned to the car they had broken the window on my brand new car and got my purse! They took everything.....It was a complete nightmere! It was a huge pain getting my DL replaced cancelling credit cards (which they used) buying a new cell phone etc. I had to run Credit reports on myself for 2 years to make sure I wasn't dealing with an identity theft....They had ALL my info!

Bede, hang in there....Just make sure you contact your credit card CO. because just because they didn't take the cards doesn't mean they didn't get the #s.....

Yea, living in Denver we don't leave anything worth anything in the car.
