I belong to a group called Free Cycle, dedicated to keeping good stuff out of landfills

It's a place to advertise things you don't need anymore and want to give away, or find something someone else doesn't want.

I remember someone giving away a tank with everything included. Unfortunately, it was before I started keeping fish.

Hi Lucy...Im a member also and have been for many years...its a GREAT way to get rid of anything and keeping the landfills a lil bit more under control...great idea on getting some fish things..you can post wants and offers...have a great day and thanks for sharing !

I have gotten rid of several large pieces of furniture through Freecycle. I love it. Much better than Craigslist, since the whole thing is dedicated to people helping each other out. You can even sometimes find free aquarium bits.
