I recently purchased a Penn-Plax "Cliffs & Caves" kit from, Arcata Pet, online and didn't like what I received. I'm corresponding with Arcata but so far they are telling me what I got was right. I've sent them pictures and I'm waiting for a response. Buyer beware!!!!!! Here's pic of what I got and link to the product. Unfortunately the picture in the add doesn't look like the one one the actual box. It has a little more color
than the pick up tube on my filter.

Labeo, I can't find any Penn-Plax "Cliffs & Caves" kit on the website you have provided. Also, what should I be looking for in your picture? A cliff and cave setup in your tank? If so, I cannot discern it.

Thank you atm, for the re-direct. In the picture you see a tube in the for ground and toward the middle a greenish plastic mold that is supposed to look like rock.On the box the colors are darker and brownish to sandy color. That molded rock almost looks like the greenish pick up tube for my filter.

This question is to the moderators of this forum. Since I own the product can I scan the box and post the pictures?

Not to nit-pick, but the photo on the box is going to be enhanced to make the product look more attractive. Also, no matter what product you get, it will almost certainly look different in your home environment as it would be nearly impossible to duplicate the conditions to what the manufacturer has created whether natually or artificially.

Have you experimented with lights and other decor to make it look a little more natural?

O so you are complaining that they are too green and not natural looking? If that's what you are complaining about that's the way they make them now I believe. I have some but they are from my parents when they wanted a tank but never got one so they are 15years old. My aunt just bought some and they were a little more green than mine so I don't think you can do anything about them. I think it's to hide the algae when it grows on them.

Yep, that's Max he'll be 2 in June, if I remember correctly. I replaced the pic of E=M2a (my betta), he passed on as they say, as well as his replacement. I don't know why they died. I also lost a pair of swordtails. It isn't water chemistry I've checked both ammonia and nitrites. And as for the Cliffs and Caves I will not buy any more. I've written Penn-plax but have not heard anything from them yet.
