i am aware i CANT have 2 gouramis in my tank so i am taking my newest one out but i would like to add another fish maybe two but i only have a 10 gallon and it hasnt been running for 2 weeks yet so how long should i wait and wut kind should i put in there?

You need to test the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels to make sure that your tank is cycled. If it has only been running for two weeks then I doubt it is. Please read the article on the Nitrogen Cycle. It is impossible to run a sucessful tank with healthy fish without knowing about it. Then, get an API test kit to test the levels in your tank. Don't use the test strips, they are innaccurate. Honestly, your tank can only handle about 10 inches of fish. If you consider the adult size of your fish, you are pretty much stocked. Dwarf gouramis get to be 2 inches, Platies get to be 2.5 inches and swordtails get up to 4 inches. You need to make sure that you consider the adult size of your fish when stocking. Right now your main concern should be getting your tank cycled and keeping your fish alive while you do it. This means frequent water changes so that they do not die of ammonia poisoning. Are you using a good water conditioner such as Amquel Plus?

My swordtail gets 4 INCHES!!! bahh the petstore told me he would only get 2.5 i am new to fish i didnt kno he would get that big wut should i do now?? i think i may have to get a bigger tank thanks for ur help

No problem You'll have MTS like the rest of us Now you can play with the stocking options for two tanks- very exciting! BTW, never listen to fish store employees. They don't know anything!
