Okay, so my parents have been asking me over and over again what I want for my birthday. I really want something for my fish tanks, but I am not sure what to get. I am pretty much stocked on fish and I literally have no room for any more tanks. I was thinking about asking for some plants to finish out my planted tanks, but I know that there are probably a bunch of things outh there that I am just not thinking about. The budget is around a hundred dollars, so I can't spring for anything to pricey. Any suggestions or cool ideas?

Hmm.. Maybe some Moon Lights for the tanks?

Thats a neat idea. I have been looking at some night time moon lights for my tanks. They aren't expensive at all and you could get some for each tank and still have some money left to get mor fish stuff!

I would ask for a gift certificate to a local pet store.

Why not a 'gift card' to you favorite fish store? This way, you don't have to choose right away and can use it when something comes up or whatever.

Well I decided to go with the gift certificate to the LFS. Now I just have to decide what to buy. I am leaning toward plants at the moment, but I am not sure.

Haha the beginning of March is coming and I plan on begging my mom for a new 55G. Tank, stand, equipment for 100 dollars. I would pay for it of course but still....she controls whether I get it or not.

Haha thanks. I don't know how well it will work out. I'm trying to get her to let me have a 10G saltwater to lol. Trading one of the 30's for it (has BN pleco fry in there now and once I sell I will try to get her to let me do it. That beg is looking good so far.)

Its kind of stupid in my opinion to let down a 55 gallon tank with the stand and all the equipment in good condition for only 100 dollars. I might be able to get the lady to go down to 50 or so since she thought it was 100 plus gallons. But she gave me measurements earlier today and it is the same as my 55 and the FL calculator says 55. So I hope it works out and I hope you had a good birthday and find the perfect thing for your fishies.
