Hey guys finally picked up a mag flaot magnet for up to 30 gallons and realized after I used it a little it scratched the front glass but not the sides or the back. Could it have been a piece of gravel go stuck in it? or did I use it wrong. Can you just move it as it's stuck together or do you have to pull it away from the glass a little bit.

probably something under it. clean it good and then check it again(on something besides your tank )

Ok thats what I though, I don't have to pull it away from the tank at all to clean the glass right

Should I clean it by just running my fingers over it in the tank?

yeah that should work, but you might want to run it over something besides your tank to check it out.
