Paludarium deconstruction

Well this is the fourth time the land area has flooded and I am tired of doing it all over so I am completely taking it apart. I am going to turn it into a species specific tank(hillstream loaches) I am hoping. So I could use the waterpumps/powerheads that I have. I will be moving the frog into his own habitat in an empty 20G.

Suggestions, ideas, comments are welcomed and appreciated.

It seems like we're learning the same lesson at the same time. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. My idea for a freshwater refugium seemed so simple, but it's turning out that balancing the water level is more complicated than I thought.

Some things work others don't. Don't be discouraged, keep it in the back of your mind and one of these days maybe it'll come together. Until then move on to something else, Hillstreams are delightful little fish but very specialized.

The hillstream loaches sound fun. Good luck with it!

Cory, sometimes things don't work, but who knows... you may have an epiphany 6 months down the road on how to get it perfect and may venture back to it. In the mean time, enjoy the hillstream loaches, and good way to make use of the equipment rather than wasting.
