Does anyone have one? I got a cheap one for christmas but it broke so we returned it and I got the money for it. I was looking to get one just to play around with and have something to do when I'm not doing things for the fishies =)

i have had both choppers costing 500 or more dollars and planes costing about 200 i would definatly stay away from choppers. You are guaranteed to crash then your SOL. Planes are easier but i got out of the rc hobby because it actually cost more than the fish hobby.

I have a tiny RC chopper that you can fly indoors. It will only fly for about 5 min but it makes a nice destraction from studying. Air Hogs makes them.

that is a good starter plane. It is very light so you shouldnt try to fly if there is ANY wind. Also need a fairly big field.

Alright. Any suggestions on a heavier one that isn't to much $ because it is windy a lot down here.

Planes are slightly easier to fly than helis. Find a good starter plane with spare parts, particularly wings and props.

I've never had a plane or heli, but I've had boats and trucks. Trying to get a old plane that a guy never used, but haven't been able to make contact with him again.

What's your budget like: http://www.easyrc.com/airplanes/airplanes2.html is some good sized starter planes. Range from $25 to $120.

well, made contact with the guy again. He mailed it out to me yesterday. He said something about the body was cracked and the wing. Most of it is just from handling. It's never been flown and I think it's a gas engine. Will see what it's like when it comes in and how much it can be used.

I've always wanted a remote control jet plane but just the jet motors are like $2000. I've been through a bunch of those foam Air Hog things. They fly great for about 5 minutes when you crash it and it never flies again. I still want one of the helicopters King_Snuggles mentioned. Just to torment my roommtes and dog. I did help my friend build a gas RC truck once and that was fun and $500. lol Like Wolfgang said, it's and expensive hobby. So much so that I never really took it up after getting interested. You should search YouTube for "fastest RC plane", you'll be amazed.
