Aquarium Clubs are really nice, and I'm fortunate enough to live close enought to associate with two. They are made up of people who have the same interests as you and some with experience to spare.
You also get good deals at auctions
Check this one out and see what you think, visit a couple of meetings then if you like what you see join it. It's not usually too expensive.
Dahly joined one up that way you might check with him and see if it's the same one .
