eat sardines in the same room as my tank?

I've eaten shrimps with cocktail sauce in front of my tank, and instead of looking at me all guilty and such, my angelfish gobbled down the little pieces I gave them. So I guess it's a matter of the fish's perspective. If I had a fresh sardine, my angelfish might eat it, so I don't see a problem there.
However, if I had a tank full of live sardines, and was eating sardines, then I might feel a bit guilty...

if its immoral to eat fish in front of your fish than i must be messed up because i feed my snakes fish right next to one of my community tanks
