For the past couple of years, my family has collected toys to give out to folks at Christmas.

This year we gave out almost 180 toys in the town just south of here.
We are not connected any charity or church and all cost are paid for out of pocket, we do not accept donations.

This year 10 of us gave out toys for 2 hours.

It is a wonderful sight to see kids who might not have that exciting a Christmas walk away with toys the likes of which they never thought they would have, clutched tightly in their arms.

I hope this sparks others into doing something similar.

There was one specific kid that made everyone happy to be doing this toy give away.

A woman brought a couple of handicapped kids. The little girl came up and gave Santa a hug, while she was hugging him I was going to find the toy for the number she drew out of the hat. I came walking back with Ariel (aka. The little mermaid) 10 inch doll. That girl's mouth fell open and she made a loud cry of sheer joy at getting that doll. The moment she did that I know there was few dry eyes. Myself, and I know both of my parents were fighting back tears... that's what its all about.

Dino, for all the teasing you take and encourage throughout the year, you prove by these pics what the true spirit of Christmas is.

You guys truly touch my heart. As corny as it sounds, the generosity and good deeds of you, Ross and your families will come back to you all one-hundred fold.

My husband and I sponsor a single mom and her kids with a Christmas hamper of food and toys through the Salavation Army, here in our town. It for sure is the best feeling ever!

That's awesome Dino Claus! I think that's the most fun part of the Christmas season - helping others. We were able to buy presents for a little girl who might not have gotten any presents this year and shopping for those was the most fun that we've had this Christmas. We would TOTALLY love helping with what you do if we were closer, it's as wonderful for you as those great kids and I love it! Cutest little elf I've ever seen too!
