| | Fish Addict | Fish and stuff on the way! Well, my HC and pygmy sword did not show up today, so they should be here Monday. Hopefully they will still be in decent condition by then, or else I will have to take it up with the seller. But, on a good note, I have other stuff on the way.
I have 6 olive nerite snails, already acclimated to freshwater, on the way for $18 incl shipping, plus my mom bought me a pair of Triple Red Apistos for Christmas. They were only $24, a proven pair, and had free shipping! Next week is going to be excellent, as the plants, snails, fish and some stuff from DFS(just Purigen and Excel) will all be showing up within days of each other.
Just had to share, thats all |

| | Fish Mentor | Love it, where did you get this stuff? Aquabid?
I am looking for some zebra nerite snails, if you have any idea where to get them, please pm me.
Thanks, and hope it all works out for you, I know what you will be doing over Christmas break!
Merry Christmas |

| | Fish Addict | Yes, I found it all on AquaBid. Apparently something called "Saturday Night Express" where folks do one hour auctions, and a lot of them offer free shipping.
I don't get much of a break anymore, what with being out of school and having a kid, but Christmas is going to be great this year, because its my sons first Christmas he'll really be involved in(last year, he was only 7 months old). We've got him pretty pumped up about Santa Claus |

OK, I should have said, I know what you will be doing this next week!
Isn't aquabid fun! Until you run into someone that doesn't send you what you pay for..... But this only happened to me one time, and they finally refunded...... |

| | Fish Addict | My son and I went to the beach tonight and sifted sand to extract the larger grain. I brought it home, rinsed it thoroughly, then baked it at 400º for an hour, let it cool and added it to the tank. I'll be going to get more tomorrow when the wifey can accompany me and wrangle the boy. I'm going to get enough to cover half of the bottom of the tank, I believe. The rest is going to get black onyx sand.
Any hooo, I put it in the corner, and plan on planting some of the HC and pygmy sword here, and put my flowerpot with the moss hat on it.
Heres a couple pics, and you can see some of my fishes checking it out. The Paradise Gouramis are going to live in the 1000gal pond once the apistos get here. |

| | Fish Addict | Not sure. I think I'm going to have to order it, as all the LFS around here only carry Flourite, Aragonite and inert gravel.
I'll probably have to order it. |

| | Master Of Fish Poo! | I'd really appreciate it if you could pass on the info when you find a place. I haven't found it around here either and that's the sand that I'd like for a tank theme that I want to do early next year. |
