Does pet smart have a price matching policy? I have found everything I want for a new tank cheaper. The tank its self was $70 from them and i found it for $46. (Small 6 gal.)

they match their online prices which are usually $20 cheaper
just add the item to your cart and print out the page showing the item and its price, and take it to the store

I'm not sure if its petsmart of just the manager that works at the one near me but they do match prices from the most recent DFS catalog, very few price differances but I do save $2-3 on bubblewands, airstones and the little suction cups that keep going missing

walmart has a 5 gal. eclipse for $29...i have my betta in that...no probs so far

Actually, I was at my local Walmart earlier this evening and they had a 10g tank for $9.99. A light canopy/hood (incandescent type) was $19.99 - didn't see a fluorescent type canopy/hood. Don't know if your place would have the same prices but you never know So you'd be able to get a bigger tank for less
