Good Stock?

You can see what I currently have in my sig. After another week, or, after Christmas, I plan to get this kind of stock, and I was wondering if it would be good and which ones would you guys like better.

Stock A

BN Pleco - 4-5"
5 Glowlight Tetras - 7-8"
2 Pearl Gouramis - 8"
3 Bamboo Shrimp
TOTAL 25-27"

Stock B

-----
Dwarf Gourami - 2"
BN Pleco - 4-5"
5 Glowlight Tetras - 7-8"
2 Pearl Gouramis - 8"
3 Dwarf Loaches if I can find them - 7-8"
TOTAL 28-31"

alot of times gouramis dont get along too well i would skip the pearls and add more glowlights or neon tetras they will still school together even though they dont look the same.

I've got alot of people saying Pearls are very peaceful compared to other Gouramis, and the 3 Gouramis would be a 1M/2F ratio.

Those would be nice too, but I'm fascinated with loaches because of their active nature. I don't know much about Corys. What's the nature like? Are they playful?

I like Stock B, only i'd take out the dwarf gourami and have 6 of the tetras.

Yes, 3 corys would get along splendidly, so long as they're all the same species.

When I have the Dwarf Gourami in there, it means the Dwarf Gourami I already have.

So...Stock C

Dwarf Gourami - 2"
BN Pleco - 4-5"
6 Glowlight Tetras - 9"
2 Pearl Gouramis - 8"
3 Corys - 7.5-8"
TOTAL - 30.5-32"

A little over the 1"/gal ratio, but looks good. I think Stock C is what I may get.

I was planning to do this anyways, but it says sand is also good for the Corys because it won't scratch their barbels as much? I wanted to make sure these facts about sand are true so here they be. I need to stir the sand frequently/ or during every waterchange/ so that the gasses do not get caught in the sand and release later in a toxic quantity; I also just hover the siphon above the sand and it will pick up the poop and stuff. And how much sand do I need to get for a 29g?

have you researched if there are freshwater snails to do your sand stirring for you? we haven't done a tank with sand yet, but I'm going to change the cichlid tank over to sand early next year.

Malaysian Trumpet Snails should do the job. They are prolific livebearers, however, so you'll need to make sure you don't over feed or you'll have tons of them. Their population goes along with how much you do or don't feed.

Eh? I think I would rather stir the sand then get them because not only does my LFS not have them, I don't think, I don't want to worry even more about medicines I use if it kills them. But I will still look into them.
