Hey, I am still trying to figure out how to have fish when my hubby and I take to the road full time and live in our RV with the 3 chihuahua's. Any suggestions?

MMmmmh. That's a tough one. Sounds pretty incompatible. I don't think the fish would like to be shaken up so much.

Hmm.. first thing that popped into my head is some sort of case constructed with shock absorbers, air bags or something to keep the motion from being too much on the tank.. and fish that like a lot of water movement.

Fly Tim over from Wales & he'll probably find a way to fit 500g of tanks in there.

You know, I have to wonder... I reciently saw one of Takashi Amano's little garden tanks, and it was in a small, I don't know, maybe 12 gallon cube. And it looked completely sealed.
Now here's the thing, I drive a septic pumper truck; actually any one of 4 trucks ranging from 350 to 2000 gallons, depending on what I'm doing that day. So believe me when I tell you all I know more about sloshing liquids than anyone of you (technically it's called surging... I don't know why). And when any of my tanks is half full, it's a nightmare. A person can literally get sea-sick in my truck from the rocking motion. I did the first couple weeks. But when it's near totally full and there's no more airspace, the rocking isn't nearly so bad.
So this is what I wonder... if you had a sealed tank, and there wasn't any airspace at all, how much would it and the fish slosh around inside the tank??

good question and a valid point. I think that would greatly improve the odds of success.

I thought of another thing. In some tank trucks they have huge baffles in the tanks. These are metal plates that seperate the tanks into sections, with big holes drilled into them to allow liquid to pass between them. But even though liqiud can move between the different sections, the baffle itself cuts down on the surging motion itself significantly. It seems to me, especially for a long tank, that something like this could easily be made using tank dividers with holes in them, so the fish and some water could flow back and forth.

would the fish have a good chance of being sucked against the dividers by water motion?

Just make sure the holes in the dividers are big enough for the fish to pass thru.
