what to put in my 29 gallon tank

I currently have my first tank, it is a 29 gallon with live plants. I have 2 head and tail light tetras, 3 bloodfin tetras, 1 chinese algea eater, 4 snails, and 5 ghost shrimp. any suggestions for anything else or do I have too much

I'm reaklly not sure what kind of snails they were the only ones they had and I didn't see what kind. I bought them at pet smart and they were in with the live plants.

I'm guessing they were Mystery snails-that's what Petsmart usually sells.

You have lots of room in the tank. The first thing you want to add would be more Head and tail light & Bloodfin tetras to a shoal size of at least 6 of each. Tetras like to swim together and are happier in big groups.

I know they say 1 gallon for every inch of fish, what about snails and shrimp?

Shrimp produce very little waste so if you just have a few they don't really need to be factored into your bioload. Snails produce a lot of waste so they should be counted as bioload, how much depends on the size.
