| Happy Thanksgiving!
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone is happy, safe, and has lots to be thankful for!
And for those who are as lucky as me, get to have a WHITE Thanksgiving! Yay 3 inches of snow!   I LOVE it!

| lol.. Denver doesn't usually get a lot, especially this time of year. Most of the snow here is spring snow. Denver does that too.. it can go from 70s and sunny to a snow storm in 2 hours.  Quote:

I'm just jealous, I love Colorado! it's so beautiful, and they have WAY better skiing than we do here in Iowa! But I love it here too, there is nothing like living in the Midwest. | |

But of course there is skiing! "Sundown Mountain" in Dubuque... though I really wouldn't call it a mountain!! They do have quite a few "bluffs", not as flat as the rest of the state.
Yeah we survived the tornado that went through downtown Iowa City in April of 2006... watched the whole thing... one of the scariest things I've ever seen!! Thankfully no one was hurt.... buildings can be rebuilt. I'm glad we don't have to deal with those everyday!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their day and I hope everyone has someone they love nearby. Remember, don't feel guilty about what you eat... just exercise like mad afterwards.

LoL yeah I tried cross country skiing once, NEVER AGAIN!! = ) We do actually have a downhill skiing place here in Iowa, but it's nothing like skiing on an actual mountain! | |

| Haha here in Georgia we get liek no snow. It has snowed 2 times in the 7 years we have been here. Maybe we will get lucky this holiday season but I doubt it with the drought going on.
