| No way!? His first word was fish?! That calls for celebration! At least now mom knows whose side he's on.
Yep, I get the same comments. Like: you never lie in with me on Saturday mornings anymore. You always jump out of bed to see the fish! And he always comes home around fish feeding time, so I can't give him a lot of attention then either. Poor man. |

| We both stare at our fish together all hours...we got into the hobby together so. Our problem is stopping each other from bringing home new fish. |

| You're lucky. He's got his own tank, but he's no where near as passionate. He does take good care of his fish, and he loves them to bits, but he'll only do the strict necessary reading. He loves our trips to the fish store, though. |

Kerrie loves the look and the way the boys have take an intrest in what it takes to set it up.
When we were ready for the live rock, " $360 FOR SOME ROCK!!!" Now I get this look every time I go to the LFS. But like I say " It costs a bit to setup but once its done, look at what you have" is it worth it?. it sure is! But now I have the onset of MTS |

| Well, my lady thinks its ok, but she picks on me a bit because I'm always either reading about fish, talking about fish, looking at my fish, or wanting to buy something for my fish...so I pulled my old nitro RC car out of storage so she can have a little variety in her complaints! |

| My 3 month old is obsessed with our fish tanks. When he is fussing I just sit with him in front of one of the tanks (usually the big 70 gallon) and he calms down almost immedatley. I sit him in front of our Oscar tank and they actuall play with each other. The Oscar swims back and forth along the fron glass and AJ follows him. Then the fish stops and looks directly at him and he just jumps and laughs. Funny thing is that we bought him all of the Fisher Price Aquarium toys and he hates them. I guess a a piece of plastic with bubbles and fake fish is nothing compared to the real thing |

| Richard (b/f) and I are on our 9th or 10th generation of fry - so they are like our great, great, great grandkids or something :O We do all the fishkeeping duties together (although I would sometimes tease him that he would probably like me better if I had fins...lol) |

| My whole family approves of my fish, Mike (husband) is involved and enjoys watching, even makes comments about the different tanks, and "plays" with the fish that like to follow his finger as he leads them around the tank. We agree that our favorite tank is the "small tank", a 55 gal with all small things, fry, snails, cherry shrimp, and several small varieties of colorful fish. It stays so clean, and it teaming with life, I spend hours looking really close at this one.
My two year old granddaughter's first word was also Sssish, but now I hear birds are Sssish also, and all dogs, cats, and other small animals are 'Belle' the name of their dog......I think there is a problem here! My 18 yo son was writing a essay the other day about his influences growing up, and his comment about me is that I tend to get riled up, and the only thing that keeps me sane are my hobbies.....then mentioned our living room full of fish tanks. WELL, I wouldn't say it keeps me sane, he just doesn't realize it is a symptom of INSANITY!!! M-T-S ! Truly certifiable! |

| My wife couldn't have cared less about the fish until I was trying to decide what was going to go into the 10g planted tank. She came to the fish store with me when I was looking at the few possibilities that I had for it, and immediately decided that we should get a betta. She even went so far as to pick the exact betta that we were going to get (I had wanted a blue and green one, and she picked a red one, go figure).
Soon after, she asked for her own tank in the bedroom, with silver lyretail mollies. I added my own touch to that particular tank, as it is now filled with a bunch of shrimp, too. |

| LOL well I see we are kindred spirits here . Great topic...
Yes, my husband once said, Im tired of talking to the back of your head'. Since I was always staring at the fish tanks while we sat together watching tv. He waved the white flag a long time ago when I brought home another 29g tank. At least he is a smart man hehehe.... he will not admit too often but I know that he really loves the fish too. After all he bought me a 55g set up as a gift so what does that say? ~ kate |

| Wow, lucky you. The bedroom is fish-forbidden territory for me. I'd love to sneak in a couple of betta tanks upstairs. Quote:

| My husband gets annoyed and also says i spend all my free time with the fish. He said he wished he had a hobby that he was as passionate about as me but fish just dont get it for him. I think thats kind of a lie cause every once in awhile he talks about them and tells me about thier activity.
This weekend to mess with me he put on the fist Duce Bigalow movie and said that is what im like. |
