My very first thread on Fish Lore :o)

I was just browsing through my user settings on Fish Lore, and I noticed there is a section on "My Threads" - i.e. all the threads I've ever started. And ... lol, I went to see my first thread on Fish Lore.

Here it is:
I NEED HELP WITH ANGELIFISH !!!

I can't believe it's been almost 3 years since I've been with Fish Lore! (Well, it will be 3 years in August 2008, lol.) I didn't even realize it's been this long. And I actually realized I've been keeping fish for almost 4 years - I thought it was a little over 3 years. Can't believe how fast the time goes by!

Anyway, as you can see in my first thread on Fish Lore, I was such a total newbie! It makes me realize - once again - how much I've learned here. Once again, thanks everyone (esp. all the moderators and Mike) for teaching me so much!

P.S. If you wonder what happened to the 2 little Angels I've bought, that were mentioned in the thread, well, they died right after I bought them. Don't know why I never mentioned about it in the thread. Must have forgotten to do it. But thankfully, the "aggression" - or at least that's what it seemed like to me at that time - went away pretty soon, and it turned out I had a pair It must have all been the pairing off behavior. But what did I know then, lol. And ... lol, notice the wording: "I desperately need help!" - lol, what a moron I was!

lol.. makes me wonder what my first thread was.. i bet it was about putting platys in with a betta back when we started in fish at the beginning of this year.

Yeah you are right Isabella! I kept fish for years b4 i came to fishlore, i swear i didn't know half as much as i learnt this year!

I think it's so cool being able to go back to your very first post, as well as see any/all posts by yourself. It gives you a great perspective on how much you've learned here, doesn't it

You have to click on My Threads, and then click on Last Page, and then go to the bottom of it. There, you'll see your first thread.

You were most likely looking in the My Posts section.

I really doubt you've personally started as many as over 500 threads, lol (or have you?).

Dave, that doesn't sound like a typical newbie thread, lol. I think you guys were already pretty informed about the hobby before you even got here, weren't you?

And I can't help but notice that you've been with Fish Lore since January 2007, and you already have made almost 14,000 posts! I've been here since August 2005 and I haven't even made it to 5,500, lol. You must be doing a tremendous job helping out this forum! In fact, if you go to Fish Lore statistics, you're the # 1 poster of all time ! LOL

lol, well i'm an web monkey so i automatically did research into Bettas when Stacy wanted to get one. That's when I found FishLore, but the first couple months, I didn't visit too often. What got me looking at FishLore long enough to realize how great a community it was - was when Super Mario died of Dropsy and I wanted to find out why & how to keep it from happening to Aslan. I wish I'd done that sooner, I think we'd still have Mario maybe.
