The best book about fish diseases ?

is ....
What is the best one you read about fish diseases, expecially FW ?
One that is modern and also talks about the active ingredients that corespond to specific diseases.
Thank you.

The best book I have found on diseases is

The textbook of Fish Diseases by Erwin Amlacher.

It is a science text but since I am a scientist, I have no problems with that.

The symptom chart, which runs 10 pages, is worth the cost of the book.

Saddly, the copy I own was published in 1970 and is rather hard to find.

The newer books, to me, just seem to be pushing a particular brand of fish medications.

Thanks. I'll try to find it ... there must in the library at some University.
I am a mathematician so .. wrong science but I can understant.

No matter the name of all kind of meds, the ingredients are important.
I am not going to expand in fish tank size but I would like to keep those few fish I have healthy. I cannot stand a creature to die in my house. If it took so many months and so many trials of medication to keep few neons and few betta alive, to cycle with succes 4 tanks ....... I can not imagine how is to have a salt water tank !

Sorry for rambling. Thanks again.
