well my fish in my 55gallon have been alot less active latly...and i new it was getting close to a water change time...i checked my nitrate..and it was a 10 after 3 minutes...and with the api test you should wait five and new it would only get higher because it was a ver high ten..well anyways...i changed the water and what not...then soon after...all the fishes activity was back

My fish always seem to be happy during water changes When I pour new water into my tanks, they all swim around and against the current of water and bubbles, lol

fish activity depends on water quality a lot! my new goldies used to sit on the bottom of the tank when i changed my water at first but now they r very active.
