Giant auction was a huge success

As a few of you know, there was a huge aquarium auction in my city(yes, my city, I own it lol), and it was a total success, for me anyways. I came home with 10 different plants, 3 L52 plecos, 2 bettas, 2 jars for the bettas, 4 killifish(1 male, 3 females), a piece of wood, a castle decoration, a canopy and heater for my q. 5gallon, a huge piece of granite, a box to bring it all home in, and I think there was also a partridge in a pair tree somewhere in there. lol I was really happy, I came home with money still. I will have some pics as soon as all the dust has settled in the tank from all the plants being put in.

Val, you should have been there, there were about 20 different bettas and some were put as a proven mating pair. It was really fun.

Maybe you could start up an aquarium society in your area and then you could do that when you get enuogh people to go to the meetings.

Re: Giant auction was a huge success

I have been to aquarium club auctions in Atlanta Ga. and Charlotte N.C. and had a great time at both. Auctions are a great way to socialize with fellow enthusiast and get great deals
Congrats on the good deals!

I know, there was a huge piece of driftwood that was about 3-4' long and it went for $3. If I had a large enough tank, I would have bought it.

The only thing was, I didn't how much everything was going to go for and I was bidding on something that was the very last item, so you have to still have some money. But I also made a few friends that live within 3 blocks of me.
