OMG OMG OMG. Went completely wild in the LFS yesterday. Those LFS guys love us. They know that Thijs can't say no, so now they keep taking him to the side and trying to convince him to go salt water! Right, here's what I got:
- 3 amano shrimps
- 1 chocolate sailfin molly (male)
- 1 BN pleco
- 1... female betta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 1 new tank (about 12G)!

We spent the day re-shuffling aquariums and aquascaping.

Ohhh I love fishy shopping spree's!!! Sounds wonderful Armadillo! So.. tell us.. what does your female betta look like? cant wait for photos . And a chocolote sailfin molly.. .wowow.. that has got to be gorgeous!!! and... a new tank!!! hehehe... I'm excited for you, as that would be my kind of fun..

Well, I was actually hoping she could use a remote control camera, herself being in the Netherlands, and the camera being in, for example, China.

Why is it when we go to a lfs...we come out with more than we intended too. I need to go get fish food...I may come home with more than just that tho.

Dave, am totally in love with her. Dont' get me wrong, I love my male betta, but she's just so. I don't know. She immediately took to me. She's playing with my finger, not scared at all. I even had my first betta bite!

Thanks, Kate! You know exactly how that feels, don't you! I feel slightly misunderstood as some friends reminded me that I'd promised I'd play poker with them last night, and they had to literally drag me out. They just didn't get that I wanted to stay home and watch my fish. Still. I won and made a clean.... 15 euros!

Congrats! Are amano shrimps another name for bamboo shrimps, or are they 2 different shrimp?

I have no idea. I'd never really heard of bamboo shrimps.

OK, here's my shopping spree (couldn't take pix of the Ancistrus because he's just too small and darty; and couldnt' take pix of the shrimps becuase they're disappeared ):

1/ female betta: she's 'dirty' pink (kinda salmon-colour) with purple reflections depending on the light
2/ chocolate sailfin molly: blurry picture but the only one where you see its brown eyes
3/ panda cory
4/ C. sterbai
5/ C. loxozonus

What a cutie pie that panda cory is!! I think I would like to find a few of those myself!... the photos that are above the last photo, is that cory as well? Or is that the BN Pleco? thats very cute too...

That's also a cory. That's the prettiest one I find, but the panda is definitely the cutest in his attitude.

yea, i understand.. i love all of our bettas, but Angel's just become my baby. Has your girl started to get her color back?

Am pretty sure it's a Corydoras sterbai (I got help from Essigs last night ID'ing them). I don't know that they have a common name.
