I have been searching the net tonight to make sure that the med i have here for fin rot is safe to use as one that i used for my betta that had an ulcer turned out to contain Formaldehyde. If i had realised this i would never have used it but then that little guy was too ill for me to save and in the 37 hours that i owned him ihad to try something.

This product here is from Interpet. It says it contains PHENOXYETHANOL. I've found several articals on it in relation to fish and this link is just one of them. I now am not happy to use it. Please read it and give me your views. Thanks Michelle

hmm.. i've read of phenoxyethanol in veternary reports, but i think for putting a fish down, we'd go with clove oil at this point anyway.

Exactly, for knocking fish out! I don't fancy using it for Fungus and finrot that the product is for!
