Well, I can't beleive it. I waited two weeks to get the new stand for my tank, and it's the wrong size!!!! I waited all that time for nothing! No I have to take it back and wait a couple of more weeks. It is 24" wide, which is the width of the tank, but with the trim on the tank, the tank is 24.5". It is not only a 1/2" too narrow, but the trim on the front and sides of the stand are too low to hide the trim on the tank!!! Anyone know if the trim on the bottom of an aquarium is strictly decorative, or does it serve as support, also? If I remove the trim, the tank will fit. I shouldn't have to do that, but If I take it back, it will be a few more weeks. I'm gonna call the tank manufacturer and ask if it can be removed without voiding the warranty but I think I know what they will say...NO!!!

I got the tank and stand from my LFS. The tank is from All-Glass in L.A. I don't know who made the stand, but I will ask the LFS when I take the stand back if I have too. I'm trying to get a hold of All-Glass in Wisconsin right now, to see what they say. I have a bad feeling they're gonna tell me to take the stand back. Bummer!!

Yep take teh stand back. Sorry. The trim around the tank is part of the support.

Yeah thats what i figured. What is strange is the people who made the stand compensated for the trim lengthwise by making the stand 72.5", but didn't compensate for the width they only made the width 24". the tank is about 24.5" with the trim. I still can't believe it. I keep measuring it over and over to see if im wrong!!!
