Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has noticed an increase in the popularity of this hobby. I got started at a young age because I remember my father always had an aquarium. Like father like son I guess. I have convinced two friends to get an aquarium about two years ago and they love it. Any opinions? ttyl

i saw a video article on fish keeping and more people have fish than other pets now, there's fish vets and fish surgeries even.. it's definitely growing in popularity. the downside is the wild species that go extinct in the rush by collectors to cash in.

Yeah I hope for the fish that it's not growing. Imagine the poor neglected abandonned fish once the fad stops.

Cripey, Amanda, you're worse than my mom. Am having trouble at work at the moment (trying to convince them that pressuring me to travel 3 days a week for the last 5 years is NOT the best way to keep someone motivated), and she just said, as if in passing: 'why don't you just get pregnant on them?). Like the whole pregnancy leave suggestion is only to do with my legal rights, and she's not DYING for a grandkid!
