When I was little, I used to charge people to see my aquarium!!!
I've just remembered this. It's really funny. I was a really cheeky little monkey and I used to have this great tank that was my pride and joy. On good tank days (AFTER my dad had painfully done all the maintenance), I'd claim all the glory and charge the neighborhood kids to come look at my fish. Niiiiiiiice kid, niiiiiiiiiiice.

Wow, you were a greedy little kid. Did you atleast share the profit with your dad? I think I should start doing that.

I remember when I was in either middle or high school, I invited a bunch of friends over to check out my awesome new pleco. We all gathered around the tank, I proudly flicked the light on all ready to show him off...and he was dead.  I can clearly remember going from having a huge smile on my face to sobbing hysterically. |

Wow, that would be bad, especially if you made the people pay to look at them. They do it at the zoo all the time.

No, I didn't charge, but I'd been talking up my awesome new pleco non-stop, building up to the great reveal. And then...yeah. Not so great!  I hadn't even had him for two weeks, so at least the LFS gave me a refund...but I would have rather just had my fish. |

Ah that must have made you feel awful! All i remember when we had that huuge tank was we kept koi in them.Pity it started leaking so quickly.
