What type and brand of tv do you have?

My dad says he'l buy a new and bigger tv for me for downstairs in our basement for when I have friends over and when I want to go down there but wants me to do some research on my own. I have no problem on this, did some research and bought my own camera and do it all the time for paintball and fish. I was wondering what brand and type you all have and what your take on it is. I'm looking at mostly lcd and plasma, no tubes for sure, possibly HD too. Anything you have, short or long review is good. I'm just looking for some more reviews on different brands.

thanks

Austin

hmm.. right now we're tv-less.. but i'd get a 1080p LCD at least 40"+ if you can.. depending on the budget.

Go for the biggest tv you can afford. Did you know that a mans tv should reflect his age, if you get a 50", you would be good until you are 50 years old(Corner Gas, Brent Butt).

Ya my dad doesn't want to get that nice of a tv downstairs (1080p) but he's thinking of getting over 40". He wants the price to come down a little in the 1080 since they will and he'd rather put it upstairs with the surround sound but he wants the 18year old tv there to go first.

LOL I got a ways for that big of tv, maybe I'll just buy a movie theater screen, or projector then I"ll never have to worry about getting old.

Here's one where considering, it has a good review in consumer reports and it's mentioned as good reliability.
