| There's A Beaver In My Culvert!
I took one of my dogs out this morning, and we walked down to the beginning of our driveway, where the culvert runs under. I saw something brown and furry by one of the openings, and at first I thought it was a bunny...then I realized that it was actually the head of a beaver! He came all of the way out of the culvert for a few seconds but then went back in.
He was so cute! I have no idea how he wound up in our culvert. As adorable as it is, I hope he finds a more proper place!
I named him George.  |

Be careful... dont get too close... I hear their bite can be awful.
Speaking of which, did you ever see the "larry the cable guy" bit on beavers... he said that he read in a paper that a beaver bit a guys nipple off...

Where I live, there are beavers all over the place. I see them all the time... usually they are just searching for what they need and they'll make it back to their home.

That is kind of odd. Did you actually see its tail? A muskrat can look like a small beaver if you don't see the tail.
I agree that, hopefully, it will find a more proper place. Are there any streams or lakes in the area that have been drying out? It could be trying to find a new home. | |

I saw the tail, he came all the way out at one point. Definitely a beaver!
I haven't seen him since though. There's a nice looking pond across the railroad tracks nearby, maybe he was just visiting from over there. | |
