Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

I would use it as a breeder to help out with my lot. My 4 tank breeder are all 2 gallons each and perfect for breeding and the first couple of weeks of growth for the fry. Still need a lot of water changes though, fry tanks get very messy very quickly.

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

Is it wide or tall, if it's wide it would be better than if it's tall, bettas could care less for tall tanks.

What about a nano saltwater tank

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

it's a tall 30g tall. ..it'll house either angels or fancy gups.

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

Yeah, mine's in a tall 10G and it IS a waste of volume, really. I regret buying that tank but gotta use it now. But still, better than a cup, hey.

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

Well, you know, it's not going to hurt them or anything. Only they're shallow water fish, and they like to swim horizontally rather than up and down, but it doesn't have to be this huuuge problem or anything.

lol.. well, there's no sports on now and i've figured out a way to use my video editing bay to output a digital cable signal into a portable DVD player so when the few shows we watch are on, we can watch them. after the move, we'll get a TV for watching the games on. I hope you can read this with your mom's cat there.

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

Lol i think a new type of fish is an 'iphone'! a Betta perhaps? only that will be too big to keep in a 2gal! But the phone iphones i hate! I think they are huge bulky and awkward! I dont mind internet on a cell (so then i can go on fishlore) when i'v free time but the page never opens! Ah well.

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

i've done some web browsing on one and things loaded excellent. without reading any manual or instructions, web surfing was a breeze. it's so much easier to use that other phones.

so Sabi, have you gotten a Betta for the 2g tank?

Re: Whats a 2gal good for?

Nope, not yet. As i said earlier (i think) the 8gal cracked, had to fix it. i'll only fill it with water to night. the fish from the 8gal is in the 2gal at the moment. So only once they go back to their tank i''ll see about the betta.
